COMMUNITY IMPACT & VOLUNTEERISM

Arizona’s Filipino Community Extends Help to Earthquake Victims in Northern Cebu

PACCA and partner organizations unite in true Bayanihan spirit to bring hope and relief to earthquake-affected families in the Philippines.

When tragedy struck Northern Cebu, hundreds of families were left grappling with loss, damage, and uncertainty after a powerful earthquake shook their communities. Homes were destroyed, livelihoods disrupted, and daily life suddenly changed.
In response to this urgent need, the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Arizona (PACCA)—together with the CFO Foundation and the Council of Filipino Organizations of Arizona (CFOAZ)—joined forces to mobilize relief efforts that would bring help and hope to those affected.
What started as a simple appeal for support quickly grew into a community-wide movement of compassion. Members of Arizona’s Filipino American community, local organizations, and generous individuals came together to donate funds, supplies, and resources to aid the families in Cebu.
